Burn survivor turned beauty vlogger, Shalom Nchom, gained international attention when her recent “Power of Makeup” video went viral on social media within just a few weeks. Nchom, also know as “Shalom Blac” was a victim of a hot oil accident that left her with second and third degree burns, scarring her arms, legs, shoulders, and face. She was just nine years old when that tragedy happened. Now 20, Nchom chooses to shed a positive light on her accident by vlogging beauty secrets and tips to others who have have been victims of burns, scars and hyper pigmentation. Her message is simple, yet powerful: “I love myself for who I am, I’ve accepted what’s happened to me, so I really don’t care if someone has something negative to say.” We salute our beautiful sister for her strength, virtue, courage, and inspiration!
